After returning from Spain at the beginning of July, I was immediately back on the road with my sister and nephew to spend a week in Colorado with my aunt and uncle who had just recently moved there while I was abroad. We spent the week exploring Colorado Springs and parts of Downtown Denver. For those of you who haven’t visited (or those abroad who may not know what Colorado is), Colorado is one of my favorite states to travel to in the United States. There is a little bit of everything, for everyone, in Colorado. There are many things to do out in nature, there’s shopping, good food, vibrant nightlife, and multiple museums and attractions colorado, travel, tourist, manitouaround the area. Outdoor sports are very popular at all times of the year, whether it’s hiking, skiing & snowboarding  in winter, kayaking, or rafting. The people of Colorado tend to live very healthy and active lifestyles, making it a great place to go if you are looking for a getaway spot that you can find “healthier” options for food and activities easily.

The whole state of Colorado is fantastic and is full of interesting and fun places to visit. Just in Colorado Springs, you have the little town of Manitou Springs; home of the Manitou Incline, Old Colorado City, the downtown district, Garden of the Gods Park, Pike’s Peak, excellent shopping areas, and so many local eateries. Plus much more!

Thank you for taking a look at my photo blog on Colorado Springs! I LOVE making photo blogs because some trips are better expressed by letting the photos tell the story. If you would like to see another, check out my photo blog on Aveiro, Portugal.

In case you missed before, take a second to read my blog on solo travel packing tips.  I hope you find it useful and don’t forget to download the packing list at the end of the post to use on your next adventure!
